The Caravan Village

The Caravan Village is a thriving, self-governing community north of Cat Tree City, living in old caravans drawn by meowgic. The caravan folk are traveling merchants and artists, much loved in Corktown. Their freedom displeases Walter, who spreads foul rumors about them: he accuses them of the worst vices.
The caravan folk are cheerful and welcoming, but the fear of Walter's reprisals never leaves them: they stand ready to pack up at any moment.
The village matriarch is Mama, an old short-haired cat with a many-colored coat, whose exact age is a secret.
