Description
The Cricketers are an outlaw brotherhood living on the edge of the Slumbering Forest. They gather cats who left Cat Tree City and dogs who fled Brutus's tyranny at the Junkyard, all united by their rejection of both regimes and a strong taste for speed and freedom.
They wear thick studded leather vests with flamboyant patterns and ride huge buzzing crickets with decorated chitin plates. They arrive with a deafening racket.
Their reputation is poor: brawlers, party animals, disrespectful, thieves, smugglers. They often take the blame for crimes that Ptolemeow's gangs commit.
Becoming a Cricketer requires passing initiation rites: drinking a lot, fighting the strongest member, and above all capturing a wild cricket of one's own. The hunt takes place in the tall grasses to the north of the forest, where a giant lizard also prowls.
The Slumbering Forest chapter is led by Buddy, the toughest and most relentless of them all, whose head has been put up for bounty by both Walter and Brutus.
