The Junkyard

The Junkyard is a large open-air dump where rusted old cars, drums of foul-smelling molasses and battered armchairs pile up. A sinister black smoke, rising from great fires of burning tyres, is visible for miles around. It is the stronghold of the Yardogs.

The dogs were once the best friends of the big-bare-butts. Since their disappearance, left to themselves, some have sunk into bitterness and violence, and found in the Junkyard a semblance of a pack.

It is a paradise for no one, not even the dogs who live there. Daily life consists of forging ugly but impressive weapons and armour, then setting off in a pack to plunder the surroundings, salvage materials or kidnap animals to put to work for ransom. At night, the chorus of barking and wild howling carries far.

The prisoners are forced to work in exhausting conditions before collapsing in containers turned into dormitories. Tensions simmer within the pack, and the slaves wait for the right moment to escape.
