The Yardogs
The Yardogs are a pack of dogs that occupy the Junkyard, a fortified dump from which tall columns of black smoke rise constantly. They live off raiding, ransom kidnappings and forced labor.
Armed with weapons and armor forged on-site (ugly but imposing), they regularly ride out as a pack to ravage the surrounding countryside. Their prisoners are forced to work in exhausting conditions, crammed into containers converted into dormitories. Tensions simmer within the pack.
King Walter secretly maintains ties with them to stir up the outside threat and justify his authority over the Kingdom of Cats.
