Crew of the Summer Solstice

Description
The crew of the Summer Solstice sails Captain Buttercup's schooner, the Summer Solstice. It counts eight sailors of very different species and backgrounds.
- Boniface, the first mate: a sturdy crab with a weathered shell, a former fisherman rescued from a shipwreck by the captain, for whom he would give his life.
- Madame Roucoucou, ship's doctor and cook: a strong-willed turtledove, expert in spicy fish soup and in patching up careless sailors.
- Gédéon, known as "La Planche", ship's craftsman: an old tinkering beaver, carpenter, sailmaker and ropemaker all at once, who looks after the ship as if he were in love with it.
- Jack, the lookout: a crude, reckless marmoset who spends nearly all his time at the top of the mainmast.
- Matthias, the cabin boy: a shy young pup taken in at Huggle, who is afraid of everything.
- Plouf, Plaf and Plif, the sailor brothers: three inseparable catfish who work aboard to pay off a gambling debt to the captain.
