The Chatter Box

Description

The Chatter Box is an artifact that the taverns of Cat Tree City claim is hidden at the top of the Jammed Radio Tower. Nobody really knows what it does, and every teller has a different version.

The powers ascribed to it all revolve around sound. It is said to amplify a voice, to hold a speech in memory and play it back at will, to send out a wave that knocks things over and shatters them, to set listeners dancing, to catch scraps of strange broadcasts from nowhere in particular. Some even claim it unfolds into a talking robot. Its abilities do not reveal themselves all at once: time and tinkering are needed to uncover more.

Reaching the box means a long road to the hill, then a perilous climb.
