The Countryside
Beyond the suburbs of Cat Tree City stretch the Kingdom's farmlands: farms, villages and forests that keep the capital supplied. The temperate climate and the absence of human pollution have allowed a prosperous agriculture, but the heavy taxes imposed by Walter weigh on the inhabitants.
It is from this countryside that most Kittens set out on the evening of their Exile, and it is here that the Kingdom's most out-of-the-way places are found: remote forests, troglodyte villages, forgotten marshes. Among these isolated villages is Mousse-Roche, an old land once administered by the noble Ombrume family on the king's behalf.
