Description

The golden apple grows on a meowgic apple tree, beside a stream, in a clearing near the heart of the Slumbering Forest. The tree stays in bloom whatever the season and never bears more than one fruit at a time: a perfect, glossy red apple with golden flesh.

The fruit holds a concentrated reserve of meowgic power and sustains the meowgic of whoever carries it. It is indestructible, resisting bites and blades alike, which also makes it inedible.

The tree's vigour follows the wood's own. As the forest suffers harm from outside, the russet oaks of the clearing crack, the stream runs muddy and the tree loses its glow. The apple remains bound to Selene, the spirit watching over the place.
