Selene

Description

Selene is a spirit born of meowgic's return to earth. She takes the form of an immense owl with leafy plumage, bearing two great horns made of flowering branches. She has been asleep for a long time, lulled by the bagpipes of the Dreamsinger, at the heart of the Slumbering Forest, whose trees she watches over.

Her dreams take shape in the real world and give the woods their vitality: a double rainbow, a singing fountain, on a tree trunk, a moss softer than a throne, and under travelers' bedding, a downy carpet. She is a generous, peaceful spirit who kindly welcomes weary travelers. When she has a nightmare, however, the worst horrors can take shape.
