The Wastelands

The Wastelands are the waste ground, scrawny little woods and abandoned lots that spread outside the Suburbs of Cat Tree City. They lend themselves to building huts and playing hide-and-seek, but the place has its dangers: the ground can open under one's feet and swallow the careless, dreadful creatures live there, and the Yardogs sometimes come to watch the city and do not hesitate to take prisoners away.

The wasteland cockroaches are more a nuisance than a danger: huge crawling insects the size of a big turtle, rather timid, that leave indescribable stenches behind them. Adventurous Kittens still find a fine playground there.
