Greenshore

Greenshore lies at the entrance to the Valley of Statues. Barges heading towards the sea and Corktown stop there. The village was peaceful until Bruno, a traveling hamster merchant, spotted a big-bare-butt living in the ruins of the nearby manor.

Since then, the villagers have been afraid. They say the big-bare-butt roams at night, eats animals and has terrible powers.

Wading-bird fishers regularly leave offerings of fish at the foot of the statues to feed him and encourage him to stay in his valley. The big-bare-butt watches them from a distance and happily fills his belly.

The village children, including Spikey, a young hedgehog, go on expeditions into the valley.

Mayor Eve, a lively vixen, tries to protect her community. Rebecca, a superstitious gray heron, challenges her authority. She has declared herself the fishers' spokesperson and believes the big-bare-butt should be worshipped rather than feared.

People talk a great deal about the big-bare-butt at the Golden Barge inn. The meowge Magnificus, a hunter of relics from the olden days, is also interested in the giant.
