The Black Horns
The Black Horns are an army of mercenaries. Not all of them goats, nor even horned animals, but all bearing the same crest: a black goat's head with imposing horns, embroidered on their dark tabards. That sign alone is enough to send most villages fleeing.
They answer to Dark, a black goat with a broken horn who built his reputation in the harshest lands before returning to the gates of the Kingdom of Cats to impose his will. Their base is Misty Valley, perched atop an old human dam in a narrow, steep-sided valley.
Organized like a military force, they operate through expeditionary corps: some units scout terrain, others lead raids, and others still enforce blockades or sieges by allying with pirates or corsairs.
