Dark / Coalfur

Description

Dark is a goat black as soot, with long curved horns (one broken in a fight), a glossy coat and a carefully groomed goatee. Behind his imposing exterior lies a cold rage that nothing seems able to put out.

He was born Coalfur into a sheep family that never knew what to do with him. Oddly built and more restless than his brothers and sisters, he was the laughing stock of the region and his father's shame. Wandering the roads after he left home, he found in Gaspard, a cunning fox, a true friend and travelling companion. But at a remote farm he came upon his biological mother, a goat who had rebuilt her life and asked him to leave without looking back. That same night, Gaspard died in a fall while trying to reach him.

In a single night, Coalfur lost both his families and his only friend. When he took to the road again, he called himself Dark, and was no longer the same.

Now the most feared mercenary of his generation, he commanded entire companies before seeking to rule for his own account. Today at the head of the Black Horns, he broods over his cold rage and aspires only to dominate those who cross his path.
