Pétronille Ombrume

Description

Pétronille Ombrume was an exceptional meowge, a prodigy passionate about the study of time, both weather and timekeeping. Like all Ombrumes, she adored ravens, her family's tutelary animal. She held a sincere affection for Hector, her familiar. Long ago, she left the Cat Tree City academy to devote herself to her personal research at the heart of the family estate.

Physically, Pétronille is a charismatic cat with a grey coat and magnificent blue eyes. She wears an elaborate outfit of high meowgic, dark and embroidered with esoteric symbols and silver ravens. She wears a tall, wide-brimmed pointed hat. In mist form, she keeps this same appearance but is made entirely of fog.

Pétronille combined the study of her two favorite subjects, the passing of time and the weather, conducting many strange and mysterious experiments. Obsessed (or simply focused), she isolated herself more and more, drifting away from both colleagues and villagers. The peak of her quest for knowledge came when she decided to travel through time: she could become intangible against its flow through a powerful ritual of her own invention called the Mists of Time.

Unfortunately, Pétronille failed. She did turn into mist, but found herself trapped in a parallel space-time. Hector died of grief. Her mysterious disappearance and her ominous aura sealed the young noble's status as a local legend. Then, as time passed, her story was gradually forgotten.
