Donjons & Chatons also gave rise to an animated series. Its international title is Dungeons and Kittens.
Format and production
A serialized series announced in a 12 x 22 minutes format in the international communications of 2025. Co-creation: Clément de Ruyter and Mélanie Duval. Production: Watch Next, with the support of France Télévisions. Co-direction: Jérémy Guiter and Clément de Ruyter.
Synopsis (promotional material)
Four kittens, Chouchou, Ficelle, Mousse and Roquette, are banished from the Kingdom of Cats and set off in search of a treasure to earn forgiveness.
Trailer and presentation
The trailer was previewed at Cartoon Forum 2023 in Toulouse, on September 19, 2023, shortly after the announcement of France Télévisions' support.

Early communications mentioned a release planned for 2025. In 2025, the series was announced as commissioned by France Télévisions and pre-bought by several European broadcasters. The same announcements also mention Gallimard tie-ins planned for late 2026.
In the absence of a confirmed French broadcast date, the series should still be listed as in development or awaiting an official release.
