Count Catula

Description

Count Catula is an old tomcat with a trembling chin and clattering teeth, his two long fangs the last he has left. He is said to be so old that some believe him immortal. He suffers from a strange affliction: no one knows whether he is an eccentric playing a part, a true Hooting Kitten, or something more terrible still.

He only goes out at night, draped in a strange purple costume, to feed on sweet red berries. These berries smear his face with a blood-colored jelly, terrifying passersby and insomniacs alike, even Walter himself, who fears him. He lives in an old creaking manor far from everything.

He welcomes the Kingdom's Hooting Kittens who have nowhere else to go, offering them a refuge to sleep by day and party by night. He always submits to the common laws without ever protesting.
