Balise

Description

Balise is a red kitten with a dreamy gaze, a poet at heart. He joined the Red Company to escape life in Cat Tree City, then the violence and arrogance of his comrades sickened him and he deserted. Of his uniform, only unrecognizable rags remain.

He draws, tinkers and maps: he has surveyed much of the swamp during his wanderings, and builds his own devices, among them a bat locator. He longs for a simple life spent helping others.

A meowgic tree sensed his gentleness when it crossed his path. Since then tree and kitten live in mutual aid.
