Heart and Furr-endship Points
Heart Points
They measure the Kitten's composure and state of health. The maximum is the sum of Strong and Smart.
Losing Heart points:
- Injuries or rebuffs in a Catfight
- Recharging a spell already used during the day (1 Heart point)
Zero Heart points
The Kitten is out of action until the end of the scene, or until he can rest or receive care. In a Fang Catfight, he concedes with no lasting harm. In a Claw Catfight, he suffers an injury rolled on the consequences table.
Recovering Heart points:
- Midday meal: +1 Heart point (if the Kitten can rest at that moment)
- A night's sleep: +1 Heart point (if the Kitten can rest at that moment)
- Care: a successful Smart + Heal Wounds & Diseases roll restores 1 Heart point (only one roll allowed per half-day)
- A companion's cuddle: by spending 1 Furr-endship point, a Kitten immediately restores 1 Heart point to a friend
Furr-endship Points
They represent the Kitten's morale, good cheer and luck. Their number equals the Cute score.
Spending Furr-endship points:
- +1 automatic success on a roll (before or after rolling), on his own roll or on a companion's: the total cannot exceed 4 successes by this means
- +1 Heart point to a companion by pampering him
- Entering a Claw Catfight costs 1 Furr-endship point
Recovering Furr-endship points:
- Spending a quiet night in a safe place, in the company of the other Kittens
- Spending a pleasant evening among friends (a meal, stories, shared warmth, no squabbling)
- Watching a moving or thrilling show (a concert, a comedy, a sunset…)
- When a Kitten owns his character trait negatively at the group's expense, one of his companions recovers 1 Furr-endship point
Furr-endship points are not recovered automatically between sessions, nor by resting alone.
