The Smoking Cat Tavern

The Smoking Cat Tavern is a modest tavern in the Soot District, among the poorest parts of the capital, and yet it draws customers from afar, including a good part of the Cat Tree City nobility. It serves all kinds of roasted or braised vegetables and fruit, delicious in flavor.

Ignatius, the owner, treats everyone the same: needy or noble, everyone eats their fill, whatever their budget. In the room, people readily mingle around three large tables, sitting on long benches, warmed by the big ovens that run constantly.

A little apart, a table is set aside for children, surrounded by shelves of wooden toys and storybooks. When the weather is fine, the tables go out into the garden.
