Professor Javier is a sheep whose atrophied legs mean he cannot move on his own. This doesn't stop him from running an institution that draws young prodigies from all over, Animals whose supernatural abilities fall outside the known paths of meowgic.

At Professor Javier's Institute, students are taught ewetant powers: a specific form of the supernatural, its name evoking both its founder's species and the notion of mutation.
