Handling the unexpected

Players often step outside what the Storyteller had planned. Here are the most common situations.

Fights and confrontations

Dungeons and Kittens puts avoidance, cunning and negotiation first, and its rules are poorly suited to pure combat. The Claw Catfight is the game's rarest form of conflict, and starting one costs the Kitten a Furr-endship point. You can still give your players a memorable confrontation with a powerful opponent, if you design it in that spirit, as a series of stages.
